It was a lovely home away from home. I loved the fireplace, and having a kitchen to prepare meals. Chondre, the manager was especially helpful assisting us with restaurant reservations and recommendations for seeing Capetown. She also cooks a wonderful breakfast.

The staff unflinchingly friendly and very helpful giving advice about Cape Town. The guest house was scrupulously clean as well. Nothing to do with Mountain Manor Guest House but the drought situation in Cape Town is difficult and is going to get more severe. Thought the recommended steps by Mountain Manor Guest House, regarding the saving of water was practical and sensible.

“ Friendly Guest House in a Great Location.”
Great location near to Gardens Shopping Mall, within easy walking distance of the City Bowl area, in a pleasant residential street. Fantastic helpful and friendly staff. Continental breakfast is included and is good, the cooked options are also good for a small additional charge. Very nice outdoor seating are in courtyard and by the pool. Would definitely stay here again if returning to Cape Town. Stayed here twice, some rooms have been renovated, others are in need of renovation but are clean and perfectly ok.

The bed was very comfy. The room was large and airy. It was close to a shopping centre which was convenient The outside facilities were very good The atmosphere was friendly and homely and the staff very good.

“The way services are rendered.”
During my stay at Mountain Manor for five days I did not notice anything bad. So I can not point out something I didn’t. The way services are rendered. After a good welcome during the check in process, you have access to the doors with the security keys and you have access to the bar were you choose your drink and sign. also the service of getting taxi transport was of big help. The staff and the owner talks well to the guests. and they advise you on security and areas to visit.

Great GH in Cape Town. Crisp linen, clean and welcoming.Lovely touch is the electric blanket – so welcome on chilly Cape Town nights. Acute water shortage made showing a bit hit and miss but this is out of their control. super staff and excellent breakfast.

“Old world charm with new world service.”
The guesthouse itself has okdbworld charm. Beautiful fixtures and fittings with furniture that sympathetically matches the style. Standard rooms a reasonable size with superior rooms being significantly bigger and very comfortable. The greeting when we arrived was friendly and helpful. We had just finished our 3 week camping tour and travelled over 5000km & were rather weary! All requests (a room upgrade, checking who was on which room as there were 16 of us & some were staying an extra few days) were checked and met with a smile. All staff without exception were friendly and helpful. Breakfast plentiful and the coffee, perfect! Loved the honesty bar, a great facility and very reasonable prices! If I come to Cape Town again I wouldn’t think twice about staying here.

“Mountain Manor Guesthouse”
The Manor was lovely, with old world charm. The rooms were spacious with a nice sized ensuite bathroom. And although there was a water shortage, we were still allowed showers, as long as we saved the grey water to use elsewhere in the household.

I’ve stayed at Mountain Manor on several occasions and each visit has been an absolute pleasure. The staff are all friendly and helpful, the food is great and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is ideal and very central. I would recommend this well run establishment to any visitors to Cape Town!

“Best location and spacious clean rooms”
I stayed at the mountain manor on a few occasions and my experiences have been commendable. Michelle and her team go the extra mile to assist with a request and I did not at any stage over the past 5 years, feel hesitant about my or my belonging’s safety and security. The location allows for easy access to the city is a big convenience. The public spaces are well appointed and there is enough room for privacy to sit and work be it in the breakfast area or at the pool. Thanks for the sterling service we enjoyed at the Mountain Manor.

Beautiful building with large and comfortable rooms and facilities. Beautifully laid out pool and gym area! Parking onsite behind a gate and really convenient access to the city, over the mountain and the main roads from the airport and attractions.

An enjoyable stay in the Mountain Manor Guest House which is full of character, scrupulously clean and where the staff are unflinchingly friendly and helpful. Nothing to do with Mountain Manor but Cape Town is currently suffering from a serious water shortage with a drought looming. I thought the Guest House’s advice on saving water both practicable and resourceful.
